The Art Directors Guild of America represents the industry standard for design in the movie industry. Members use the site as a key resource when searching for work and communicating with the guild it self and other members.
This was the initial phase of the project which involved educating the committees and stakeholders on what goes into a redesign and what they will need to do in order to achieve success in the project. This also involved conducting stakeholder interviews and gaining a complete understanding of how the current site was being used by different divisions within the organization as well as the members.
Content audits and feature requirements detailing the needs that must be considered for their new site were evaluated during this phase. Detailed reports were submitted along with requests for proposal from different firms. Once proposals were received recommendations on which content management system, design, and implementations would meet the specific needs as laid out before hand.
Together with the committee we presented to the Board of Directors and were approved for the redesign of the website.
